This week, 92 organizations called on the White House, Congress, and the FCC to stay the Ligado Order on the 4th anniversary, protecting GPS, satellite communication, and users reliant on these services.
Under the unprecedently flawed Ligado Order, GPS devices, critical infrastructure, satellites, and federal and commercial users that rely on satellite communications have faced the threat of significant interference. Independent scientific research mandated by the United States Congress confirmed that Ligado’s proposed terrestrial operations will cause harmful interference and is antithetical to the premise upon which satellite spectrum is granted in the first place.
